Master of Arts or (M.A)

Master of Arts or MA is a postgraduate degree which can be pursued by students who have completed their bachelors (also known as, undergraduate degree).

MA stands for Master of Arts. It is a postgraduate or master's degree which is awarded in number of countries across the world. Some of the common subjects studied by students in this degree are history, philosophy, English, Communication, Social Sciences, international relations and Humanities. It is one of the popular traditional courses in India which is chosen by students with great interest and passion.

 

MA Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor degree (preferably arts) holders of a minimum 3 or 4-year duration with its equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). The degree should be from a university that is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India.

A minimum of 55% aggregate at graduation level

Candidates pursuing a three-year degree programme must clear all topics from 1st to 4th semester, while applicants pursuing a four-year degree programme must pass all topics from the first to the sixth semester.

Eligibility Criteria for MA Courses

A Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognized University required (degree in some relevant subject for some courses required).

The duration of the course will be a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 6 years (can be different for some courses).
