SSC Stenographer Exam

This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

SSC Stenographer is organized by Staff Selection Commission to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Grade C and D stenographer in central government organizations. SSC Stenographer 2020 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be conducted from November 16-18, 2020. Previously it was scheduled to be conducted from May 5- May 7, 2020, was postponed due to COVID-19.

SSC Stenographer 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality 

Candidates must be either

(I) Citizen of India or

(II) A subject of Nepal or 

(III) Citizen of Bhutan or 

(IV) Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling in India or

(V) Indian origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories II,III, IV and V in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Indian Government.
