SSC CPO Exam

The full form of CPO is Central Police Organisation. The exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Sub-inspector (SI) of Police. The exam is conducted on a national scale for the SI posts for various Police Organisations like ITBP, BSF, CRPF, and SI in Delhi Police, etc. The CPO exam is one amongst those government organizations for which the SSC conducts the recruitment exam.

Conducting Authority: The SSC CPO Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Committee. The SSC conducts exams for various posts in different Government departments and ministries. The headquarters of SSC is located in New Delhi and SSC has 6 regional offices located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

Examination Level: This exam is conducted on the National level. Due to its National Level approach this test is taken by a large no. of students who want to join this organization as their priority.

SSC CPO Physical Efficiency

For male candidates only

  • 100 meters race in 16 seconds
  • 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
  • Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 3 chances
  • High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
  • Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chances

For female candidates only

  • 100 meters race in 18 seconds
  • 800 meters race in 4 minutes
  • Long Jump: 2.7 meters (9 feet) in 3 chances.
  • High Jump: 0.9 meters (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Only those candidates, qualified in PET/PST and found medically fit will be allowed to appear in SSC CPO Paper-II.

Final Selection / Merit 

The merit list will be drawn based on marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test.

 

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2021

 Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

The crucial date of age-limit for SSC CPO 2020 will be calculated concerning 01-01-2021.

Educational qualification:

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree From a Recognised University Or Equivalent to be eligible for SSC CPO recruitment exam.

Eyesight:

The minimum distant vision to be eligible for SSC CPO exam should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision.

 

Application Fee:

  • Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/-
  • Last date for submission of applications:13th April 2018 (up to 5 PM)
  • Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net banking or credit/ debit cards of any bank.
  • Candidates who wish to make the payment through challan of SBI may make the payment to designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 16th April 2018.
