SSC Constable (General Duty) is a popular exam among candidates because of its eligibility criteria, salary and the pride associated with working in the security forces. SSC GD Constable exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for the posts of Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman (General Duty) in the following Central Armed Police Forces:

The SSC GD exam is the General Duty Constable examination conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of eligible personnel in various Government departments and Ministries of the country. SSC GD 2020 Exam will be held to appoint eligible candidates for the post of constable in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and riflemen.

SSC GD 2021 Eligibility

SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria contribute to the higher number of applications in the exam because the educational requirement is Matric/High School only.

  • Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
  • Age limit: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 23 years.
  • Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class 10) are not eligible for the exam.
